This species was reported from France (Mar.) by Boulanger et al. (2009, 2010). Those populations might be identical with those called Opegrapha saxatilis DC. in Sparrius et al. (2002). A more detailed study of this group is needed before accepting O. trifurcata as a distinct species in our checklist area.
